An all-out brawl over a parking spot between the owners of a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce sparked an official investigation of a Party secretary of a State-owned enterprise (SOE). In a video from an underground parking lot in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, police restrained the female Bentley owner from assaulting a male owner over shouted claims that he occupied her reserved spot for over a month. As a crowd forms, the woman surnamed Ouyang yelled that her “husband” is an SOE head and will use her “50 Bentleys” to block him from leaving. After the video went viral, authorities revealed that the SOE head, surnamed Zhang, did not have a fleet of Bentleys and Ouyang was in fact his girlfriend. According to reports, though Shenzhen has banned the sales and rental of parking spaces due to severe shortages in the city, many developers still sell public spots for high prices.
