Huang Renwei, chairman of the Academic Committee of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, has suggested how China and Pakistan can engage in further economic cooperation to further promote the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, State-owned news portal the Global Times reported.

Huang said the two nations should continue to promote completed projects and then they can coordinate efforts on what the two nations really need in terms of social and economic development.

Cooperation projects should focus on the construction of joint industrial and livelihood projects, so that new projects should take more care of the needs of people in Pakistan, including infrastructure. Projects can come in any of the following domains: education, heathcare, the environment and other social infrastructure, he noted.
