Seventeen-year-old Wang Yuan, a member of the wildly popular Chinese pop group TFBOYS, is in New York to attend the 2018 Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum held by the United Nations on January 30 and 31. The forum brings together youth leaders from around the world to exchange views and consider innovative solutions to the issues facing young people.
Last year the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) appointed Wang a special advocate for education, and Time magazine named him one of the 30 Most Influential Teens of 2017.
