A Chinese IoT (Internet of Things) security testing protocol, TRAIS-P TEST, has been officially released as an international standard by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), marking global recognition of China's technological achievements in IoT security.
As a supporting testing specification for the previously released TRAIS-P international standard, TRAIS-P TEST standardizes conformance testing for the implementation of air interface security protocols in active RFID (radio frequency identification) systems - an essential wireless communication technology widely applied in logistics, manufacturing and asset management for real-time and efficient object monitoring.
Developed by more than 10 entities organized by the WAPI Industry Alliance, the new protocol has increased China's number of international standards with independent intellectual property rights in short-range telecommunication security to eight, which will further promote the interconnection and shared governance of the global IoT.
