The spread of Covid-19 has forced most Chinese students from kindergartens to universities to stay at home since early 2020. Online education has been widely used across the country. The rapid development of internet technologies has changed both teaching methods and concepts, and investors are piling into the online education sector for its great market potential. During the pandemic, many extra-curricular training institutions have switched their attention to online classes. According to iResearch, an internet and consumer analysis platform, the Chinese online education market is expected to reach 453.8 billion yuan (US$64b) with over 300 million users in 2020. Through AI technology, big data and cloud computing, more tailor-made lectures are expected to be launched to meet the demands of online education users which will enhance the learning efficiency of students and make teaching resources more easily shared.
