The Wandering Earth II
A prequel to the 2019 adaptation of a short story by sci-fi author Liu Cixin, the film explores “digital immortality,” where people can transfer their intelligence, memories and consciousness to digital platforms, allowing them to live on in virtual reality – all while raising questions about our physical existence.

Hidden Blade
The spy thriller follows the cloak and dagger days of communist agents in Shanghai who collected intel against the Japanese during WWII. The film not only focuses on spy tactics and secret handoffs, but the mental strain that agents bear in the field. Presented out of chronological order, the film leaves the audience guessing the main character’s true identity until the very end.

Full River Red
Titled after a famous poem by Yue Fei, the celebrated general from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) who was unjustly executed by his emperor. Four years after Yue Fei’s death, his supporters risk their lives to recover his last will and testament and redeem his name.

Boonie Bears: Guardian Code
In the latest installment of the animated franchise, the bear brothers unexpectedly discover a clue about their mother, who had disappeared when they were cubs. Believing she had abandoned them, the brothers embark on an epic journey to reunite their family and learn the truth.

Five Hundred Miles
This odd-couple comedy tells the story of a young man who switches bodies with a middle-aged man. Hilarity ensues as they fumble through each other’s lives and family relationships, but the experience helps them grow as people.

Ping Pong: The Triumph
A classic underdog story, the film is based on the real life of table tennis coach Cai Zhenhua, who put together a motley crew of Chinese players to win the men’s world championship in 1995. Two days after the film’s release on January 23, its producers pulled it from theaters, blaming its paltry box office performance during the Lunar New Year on poor marketing. The film was rereleased on February 17.

Deep Sea
This animated fantasy tells the story of a little girl named Shen Xiu who enters an underwater world, battles a sea spirit and overcomes her personal challenges, all with the comic relief of her quirky sidekick Nan He, a chef in a submarine restaurant.
