MASKED OPPORTUNITY

Americans who feel like they’re being bombarded with the images of US presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have it easy compared to workers at Jinhua Partytime Latex Art and Crafts Factory. Sensing a market opportunity, the Zhejiang Province mask and party supply manufacturer, which has produced masks of everything from killer clowns and ghoulish mummies to Osama bin Laden and zombie George W. Bush, has been churning out likenesses of the presumptive Republican and Democratic nominees for months. Orders for both candidates’ masks exceeded half a million each in the first half of 2016.　
　
Plant managers are betting that these numbers will only continue to soar, especially with Halloween around the corner, so factory employees are working hard to build up their stockpile. The masks are expected to hit US shelves shortly after the Republican and Democratic national conventions in July. Some workers say they don’t even know who Trump and Clinton are, but they recognize that the race to the White House is a great business opportunity.
