The Mistress Whisperer Who Ends Affairs

Spouses sick of their partners’ cheating are turning to experts who specialize in persuading potential home-wreckers to move on and find someone else. Among these affair-ending consultants is Wang Zhenxi of Luoyang, Henan Province, who claimed that within a year she had persuaded around 800 mistresses – or xiaosan in Chinese, which means “little third” – to leave their married men, charging a minimum of 1,000 yuan (US$140) per case.

Wang told media that she convinces the third party through a combination of heart-to-heart conversations and helping them connect with a single man. Wang said that she had also been hurt in similar relationships and understands that many women need someone to provide some guidance. Media reports said that consultants like Wang are on the cusp of a new industry and are increasingly in demand. Many netizens supported Wang, while some said affairs are often a symptom of a failing marriage and not the sole reason.
