Xi’s Governance

NewsChina has interviewed several well-known scholars from both academia and official thinktanks and found that many of them claimed that Xi’s thoughts are based on analyzing and devising a solution to a problem before establishing a goal.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, President Xi Jinping has delivered a series of speeches in many fields including reform and development, foreign affairs and Party administration, which makes up his strategic system of thought. Xi’s thoughts come at a time when China has become an increasingly important player on the world stage but when it also faces the challenges of economic downturn, social issues and the anti-graft campaign, testing the top authorities’ wisdom and courage to deepen political and economic reform. NewsChina has interviewed several well-known scholars from both academia and official thinktanks and found that many of them claimed that Xi’s thoughts are based on analyzing and devising a solution to a problem before establishing a goal. In addition, a major highlight of Xi’s governance is the underlying Chinese Dream, setting for the public the goal of a moderately prosperous society and national rejuvenation.
